Now before anyone gets the idea that I am on an ego trip (shut up Joey) I didn't name the band.  The band's core consists of Myself, Mike Tucker on Bass/Guitar/Vocals, Joey White on Guitar/Bass/Vocals, Darren Neal on Drums, the lovely Teresa Hail on Keyboards and Douglas Mitchell on Keyboards. We have played a few gigs together, nothing ever big and then we (Joe and myself) were asked to lead the worship for the fledgling Cowboy Church Ministry for FBC in Somerset, KY.  We agreed.  Then started the "What's the name of your band?" questions.  Well, all the good names were taken, so they (again NOT me) started calling us The Michael Tucker Band and it seems to have stuck for now.  But that isn't to say we won't change it in the future. Right now it's a funny play off of The Marshall Tucker Band so we are just rolling with it.

We play for the Open Range Cowboy Church Ministries on the second Saturday of each month come rain or shine out at the Suits Us Farm on West Hiway 80 just outside Somerset, KY.  We have a blast and we are reaching people for God.  Something all of us in the band have been committed to long before we started playing together.

We also like to play secular music when asked.  We have talents given to us by God, we play when asked because just by playing and by our lives we try to show the love of God.  Some of our songs are message driven, some are songs we just plain like and some are both.  God's love isn't just inside the church, it is everywhere and we try to include a bit of testimony if possible whenever we play.

Some of our influences are: The Beatles, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Big and Rich, Matt Maher, Leeland, Bluegrass (don't faint Teresa) and many, many more. Just about any style of music we will play, except RAP, no RAPPERS in this band.  And we will always give it our best shot.
